Hello and welcome to our web site, a companion site for our book, At Home in Costa Rica: Adventures in Living the good Life.
We created this site so that folks who have read the book could see lots of pictures about what they read. We think it's also a good site for people who are interested in Costa Rica: the just curious, visitors, people living here and those who might be considering the move.
The site rather completely follows our adventure of moving to Costa Rica in 2000, building a guest house and a main dream house on the central Pacific at a place called Lagunas, then selling that house and building a new dream house on a large farm in the inland canton of Puriscal. We hope you'll have fun following our adventure.
To navigate the site, simply click a link at the left of the page. To order the book, either in paper back from the publisher or from us in eBook format to read on your computer, just click on The Book button.
Now the site is taking on a newer dimension. We are leaving Costa Rica and returning to the United States where we intend to buy a farm in East rural Tennessee.
So while still sharing our adventures in Costa Rica on our blog, we will also detail our new adventure in moving back to the States, buying a farm, and building an earth-sheltered, passive solar home. We've already begun collecting tons of information about building alternative, environmentally-friendly houses and will be sharing some of our more interesting findings with you through our blog on this site (the link to the blog is on the left).
